JEE Advanced AAT 2026 Results Announced

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has officially released the results for the JEE Advanced Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access their scorecards through the official JEE Advanced portal. To view results, applicants are required to enter their roll number and date of birth on the designated results page.

Successful candidates in the AAT have now become eligible to participate in the upcoming JoSAA counselling process, which serves as the gateway for admission into architecture programs across participating institutions.

What Comes After the Results?

With the results now available, the focus shifts to the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling procedure. During this phase, qualified students will have the opportunity to select their preferred colleges and courses based on their rankings and availability. Seat allocation will be carried out through multiple counselling rounds, allowing candidates to make informed choices about their academic future.

The application window for this examination remained open until June 2, 2026, closing at 5:00 PM. The AAT examination itself was conducted in offline mode on June 4, 2026, with the test session running from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Admission Criteria and Eligibility

The admission process for the Architecture Aptitude Test under JEE Advanced 2026 will be governed by the Joint Implementation Committee (JIC). This committee is responsible for determining the minimum qualifying marks, commonly referred to as the cut-off, which candidates must achieve to be considered for admission.

It is important to note that successfully clearing the AAT alone does not guarantee admission into the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program. Final selection depends on a combination of factors, including the candidate’s All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Advanced 2026 and their category-specific requirements. Only those students who both pass the AAT and secure the necessary rank will be considered for B.Arch admissions.

Understanding the AAT Examination

The Architecture Aptitude Test is specifically designed to evaluate a candidate’s suitability for pursuing a career in architecture. This assessment goes beyond standard academic testing and examines several key competencies that are essential for success in the field.

The examination evaluates candidates on the following parameters:

  • Freehand drawing abilities, including the capacity to sketch and illustrate concepts by hand
  • Geometrical drawing skills, covering the creation of shapes and precise designs
  • Imagination and creative thinking capabilities
  • Spatial awareness and the ability to visualize three-dimensional objects
  • Aesthetic sensitivity, including an understanding of design principles and visual appeal
  • Fundamental knowledge related to architectural concepts and practices

Step-by-Step Guide to Access Results

Candidates who appeared for the AAT 2026 can follow these straightforward steps to view and download their results:

  • Visit the official JEE Advanced website
  • Locate and click on the “AAT Result 2026” link available on the homepage
  • Enter the required credentials, including roll number and date of birth
  • Click on the submit button to proceed
  • Your result will be displayed on the screen
  • Download or print the result for future reference and documentation purposes

Candidates are advised to keep multiple copies of their result for use during the counselling process and other admission formalities. It is recommended to regularly check the official website for updates regarding counselling schedules and other important announcements.
