JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Answer Key Released for Paper 1
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially published the answer key for Paper 1 of the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 examination. Candidates who appeared for the test can now access the answer key through the official examination portal to evaluate their performance and estimate their probable scores before the final results are announced.
Exam Overview and Candidate Participation
JEE Main 2026 Session 2 was conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode across multiple days, specifically on April 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. The examination was held at approximately 566 centres spread across 304 cities in India and 14 cities abroad, ensuring wide accessibility for aspirants nationwide.
A total of roughly 11.23 lakh candidates registered for this session. Of these, around 11.06 lakh candidates enrolled for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) at domestic centres, while 4,229 candidates registered from international locations. The attendance rate stood at approximately 93 percent, and about 97 percent of the candidates successfully completed their Aadhaar verification process.
Raising Objections Against the Answer Key
Candidates who disagree with any of the responses listed in the provisional answer key have the opportunity to challenge them. Objections must be submitted by April 13, and a nominal processing fee of ₹200 per challenge applies. This mechanism ensures transparency and allows candidates to seek corrections if they believe an answer has been incorrectly marked.
Steps to Download the Answer Key
To access the answer key, candidates need to follow a straightforward procedure on the official JEE Main website. The process involves navigating to the designated section and, if prompted, logging in with the required credentials. Once accessed, the answer key can be viewed on screen and saved for future reference.

With the answer key now available, candidates can cross-check their responses and calculate their expected scores ahead of the official result announcement, which is scheduled for April 20.
