JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Results Announced

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the results for the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination. Along with the final answer key, the agency has published a comprehensive result PDF, allowing candidates to check their individual scores. Students can now access their performance details through the official examination portal.

Twelve Candidates Achieve Perfect 100 Percentile

This year’s results showcase exceptional performances, with twelve candidates securing a perfect 100 percentile score in Paper 1 (BE/BTech). These top performers have achieved the highest possible NTA score in the examination. The list of achievers, arranged by application number, includes students from various states across the country.

Examination Participation Statistics

The examination witnessed substantial participation from aspiring engineering candidates nationwide. Out of the total registered candidates, a significant majority appeared for the test, demonstrating the importance of this competitive examination in the academic calendar.

  • Total candidates present: 13,04,653
  • Attendance percentage: 96.26%

Examination Schedule and Format

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 (January) examination for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) was conducted over multiple days, specifically on January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28, 2026. The test was held across a vast network of examination centers spanning 326 cities in India, including 15 international locations. In total, 658 examination centers were utilized to accommodate the large number of candidates.

The examination was delivered in computer-based test (CBT) mode and offered in 13 different languages to ensure accessibility for candidates from diverse linguistic backgrounds. These languages included Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Urdu, among others.

Paper 2 Results to Follow

The NTA has confirmed that while Paper 1 results have been released, the results for Paper 2 (BArch/BPlanning) will be published at a later date. Candidates can download their scorecards from the official website once available. The scores obtained in this examination will play a crucial role in determining eligibility for the JEE Advanced examination and subsequent admission processes. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates regarding Paper 2 results and other important announcements related to the admission cycle.
