JEE Main Session 2 Admit Cards Released for April 5–8 Exams

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the admit cards for the second session of JEE Main 2026. Candidates scheduled to appear for the examination between April 5 and April 8 can now download their hall tickets from the official NTA website. This marks a crucial step for the approximately 11.23 lakh aspirants who have registered for this session.

Exam Schedule and Format

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 is scheduled to be conducted across multiple dates, including April 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. The examination will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, ensuring a streamlined and transparent evaluation process for all candidates.

The test will be administered at approximately 566 examination centers spread across 304 cities within India, along with 14 international locations. This extensive network of centers ensures that candidates from various regions can access the examination conveniently.

How to Download the Admit Card

To obtain the hall ticket, candidates must log in to the official NTA website using their application number and password. It is essential to download and print the admit card well in advance, as entry to the examination center will only be permitted upon presentation of this document. Candidates are advised to keep multiple copies for safety.

Admit Card Release Timeline

The NTA has followed a phased approach for releasing the admit cards. Hall tickets for the examinations scheduled on April 2 and April 4 were made available on March 29, 2026. For all remaining candidates, the admit cards have been accessible on the NTA website since April 1, 2026. Candidates can log in at any time to download their respective documents.

Advanced Security Features Implemented

To uphold the integrity and fairness of the examination process, the NTA has introduced several robust cyber security measures. The online portal developed for JEE Main 2026 includes multiple new features designed to enhance verification and prevent malpractice:

  • AI-based facial matching technology for candidate identification
  • OTP-based Aadhaar e-KYC verification system
  • Live photo matching against Aadhaar or DigiLocker records
  • Real-time verification of uploaded photographs
  • Automatic retrieval of PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) details from the UDID portal
  • Restriction of exam city selection to states matching current and permanent addresses

Examination Center Protocols

All candidates will be subject to mandatory security checks, including physical frisking, upon arrival at the examination center. Separate screening rooms have been designated for female candidates to ensure a comfortable and dignified experience.

Candidates are required to arrive at their designated centers well before the scheduled examination time. After completing the security check, they must proceed to their assigned lab and report at the registration desk. Identity verification will be conducted using Aadhaar cards, followed by photograph capture. Each candidate will then be allotted an individual seat and computer system.

Surveillance and Monitoring Arrangements

Examination centers will be equipped with jammers and CCTV cameras to maintain strict vigilance throughout the duration of the test. The NTA will monitor all centers remotely from its central control room using AI technology, enabling real-time oversight and immediate response to any irregularities.

Coordinated Examination Management

The successful conduct of JEE Main requires collaboration among multiple stakeholders. Various government agencies, state and district officials, examination supervisors, and flying squads work in coordination with the NTA to ensure the examination proceeds smoothly and without any disruption.

Candidates are strongly advised to verify all details printed on their admit cards, including personal information, examination center address, and scheduled timing. Any discrepancies should be reported to the NTA immediately for correction. With the examination dates approaching, candidates should focus on final revisions and ensure they have all necessary documents ready for the test day.
