KVS and NVS Tier-1 Results Released for 2026 Recruitment

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) have officially published the results for the Tier-1 examination of their combined teaching and non-teaching recruitment drive for 2026. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now access their scorecards and the final answer keys through the official websites of both organizations. Alongside the results, the authorities have also confirmed the schedule for the upcoming Tier-2 examination.

Understanding the Selection Process Ahead

The Tier-1 examination was conducted as a common qualifying test for multiple posts, including PRT, PGT, TGT, and non-teaching roles (excluding MTS). This initial stage was designed only to determine eligibility, meaning the scores from this phase will not contribute to the final merit list. The next stage, Tier-2, carries a total of 100 marks and will be followed by a 100-mark interview round.

For the final selection, the Tier-2 scores will hold an 85% weightage, while the interview will account for the remaining 15%. This combined assessment will be used to prepare the final merit list.

Tier-2 Exam Structure

The Tier-2 examination will consist of two distinct sections. The first is an objective segment featuring 60 questions worth 60 marks, where a negative marking of one-quarter mark will apply for incorrect answers. The second is a descriptive segment containing 10 questions worth 40 marks. Following the Tier-2 exam, candidates will be shortlisted for the interview stage at a ratio of approximately 3 to 5 times the number of vacancies in each category.
