MHT CET 2026: Special Two-Day Registration Window Opens With Late Fee

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has announced a fresh opportunity for candidates who missed the original application deadline for MHT CET 2026. A special registration window will remain open on April 15 and April 16, 2026, allowing eligible applicants to submit their forms with an additional late fee of ₹500.

Reason Behind the Extended Registration Period

This decision comes in response to repeated requests from students who were unable to complete their applications during the initial registration phase. Only those candidates who have not yet registered for the exam are eligible to use this extended window. Students who have already submitted their applications for both attempts do not need to register again.

Aadhaar ID Mandatory for Application

Before applying, candidates must ensure they have created their Aadhaar ID through DigiLocker. The application process cannot be completed without a valid Aadhaar ID, so applicants should verify this requirement in advance to avoid any last-minute complications.

Exam Schedule and Key Dates

The second phase of MHT CET 2026 is scheduled to take place from May 10 to May 16, covering both PCM and PCB groups. The first phase of the examination was already conducted between April 11 and April 20.

No Edit Option Available

The CET Cell has clearly stated that candidates applying through this special window will not be permitted to make any corrections or modifications to their submitted forms. This makes it essential for applicants to fill in all details carefully and double-check every field before final submission, as no changes will be possible afterward.

Step-by-Step Application Process

Candidates can complete their registration by visiting the official CET Cell website. The process involves several straightforward steps that must be followed in order:

  • Complete the initial registration by creating an account
  • Fill in all required personal and academic information
  • Upload the necessary supporting documents
  • Pay the late fee of ₹500 along with the applicable application fee
  • Review all entered details thoroughly before submitting
  • Download and save the confirmation page for future reference

It is advisable to keep a printed copy of the confirmation page along with the payment receipt for documentation purposes throughout the admission process.

Courses Covered Under MHT CET

The MHT CET examination serves as the gateway for admission into various undergraduate programs for the academic session 2026-27. Successful candidates can secure seats in engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture courses offered by participating institutions across Maharashtra.

Candidates are encouraged to complete their applications well within the two-day window to avoid any technical issues or server congestion on the final day. Since this is the last opportunity for late applicants, missing this deadline would mean waiting for the next academic cycle. The CET Cell has emphasized that no further extensions will be provided beyond this special two-day period.
