NEET PG 2025: Provisional Allotment Released for Final Stray Vacancy Round

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially published the provisional seat allotment results for the final stray vacancy round of the NEET PG 2025 counselling process. A total of 2,799 candidates have been allocated seats across MD, MS, and diploma programmes in this concluding phase. This particular round was designed for aspirants who did not secure a seat in earlier counselling stages, as well as for filling positions that remained unoccupied after previous allotments.

Candidates can now visit the official MCC portal to view and download their individual allotment results. The committee has announced that any candidate who identifies discrepancies or errors in the provisional outcome may submit a formal objection via email until 11:00 AM on February 22. The final allotment list will only be released after all submitted grievances have been thoroughly reviewed and addressed.

Important Advisory Regarding the Provisional Nature of Results

In its official notification, the MCC has emphasized that the current provisional results are indicative only and remain subject to modification. No candidate can claim legal entitlement to an allocated seat based on this preliminary list, nor can it be contested in any court of law. The seat status will only be considered final once the definitive results are published.

The committee has strongly advised all candidates to refrain from downloading their allotment orders or reporting to their assigned institutions until the final results are officially declared. Acting on the provisional list alone could lead to unnecessary complications.

Seat Filling Statistics: A Detailed Breakdown

A total of 2,980 vacant positions were notified for this final stray vacancy round. Out of these, 2,799 seats have been successfully filled through the allotment process, leaving 181 positions still unoccupied. The distribution includes 18 seats allocated under the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) category and 73 seats assigned to candidates in the NRI quota.

  • Total notified vacant seats: 2,980
  • Total seats filled through allotment: 2,799
  • Total seats remaining vacant: 181
  • Courses covered: MD, MS, and diploma programmes
  • Seats allotted under AFMS category: 18
  • Seats allotted under NRI category: 73

Reporting Schedule and Admission Formalities

Candidates who have successfully secured seats in this final round are required to report to their respective allotted colleges between February 22 and February 28. During this period, they must complete all admission-related formalities and document verification procedures. Failure to adhere to this strict timeline may result in the cancellation of their allotted seat.

The MCC will also share the complete data of allotted candidates with the respective state counselling authorities. This collaborative measure aims to prevent duplicate seat allocations and eliminate any potential administrative discrepancies across different counselling jurisdictions.

Candidates are strongly encouraged to regularly monitor the official MCC website for the latest updates and announcements. Given that this is the concluding round of the NEET PG 2025 counselling process, staying informed about the final result declaration and any subsequent instructions is crucial for ensuring a smooth admission experience.

For those who have been allotted seats, it is advisable to begin preparing the necessary documents and certificates well in advance. This includes academic transcripts, identity proofs, category certificates (if applicable), and any other paperwork that may be required during the college reporting process. Being thoroughly prepared will help candidates complete their admission formalities without unnecessary delays or last-minute complications.

The release of this provisional list marks a significant milestone in the NEET PG 2025 counselling journey. With the objection window open until February 22, candidates have a limited but adequate window to raise any concerns they may have regarding their allotment results. After the review process concludes, the final results will pave the way for the last batch of postgraduate medical admissions for this academic year.
