NIOS Declares Class 12 Results for 2026 Session
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has officially released the results for the Class 12 public examinations conducted for the April-May 2026 session. Students who appeared for these exams can now access their scorecards online through the official results portal. This announcement brings an end to the waiting period for thousands of learners who participated in the examinations held between April 10 and May 6, 2026.
To view their results, candidates are required to visit the designated results website and enter their enrollment number along with the captcha code displayed on the screen. Once submitted, the complete scorecard will appear, which students can then download and print for future reference.
Application Window for Answer Sheet Review and Re-evaluation
For those candidates who believe their performance in certain subjects does not reflect their actual potential, NIOS has opened the facility to request a review of their answer sheets. The application process for both re-checking and re-evaluation will remain active from June 10 to June 25, 2026. It is important to note that applications submitted after this deadline will not be entertained under any circumstances.
As per the guidelines issued by the institute, students have a window of 30 days from the date of result declaration to submit their requests. The entire process is conducted online, allowing candidates to select their preferred mode of correction—either re-checking of the answer book or a full re-evaluation—through the official portal.
Fee Structure for Re-checking and Re-evaluation
Candidates must be aware of the applicable charges before submitting their applications. The fees vary depending on the type of examination and the service requested. Below is the detailed breakdown:
- Public Examination (Class 12): Re-checking fee is ₹400 per subject, while re-evaluation costs ₹1,000 per subject.
- On-Demand Examination (ODE) (Class 12): Re-checking fee is ₹400 per subject, whereas re-evaluation is priced at ₹1,200 per subject.
In addition to the above charges, students will need to pay a nominal processing fee of ₹50 for each application. This payment must be completed online, and upon successful transaction, a receipt will be generated for the candidate’s records.
Tracking Application Status
After submitting the application and completing the payment, students can monitor the progress of their requests. The portal provides a dedicated section labeled “My Request” where applicants can log in to check the current status of their re-checking or re-evaluation application. This transparency ensures that candidates remain informed throughout the process.
Step-by-Step Guide to Access Results
Students who have not yet viewed their results can follow these straightforward steps:

- Locate and click on the link for “Senior Secondary Result” or “Public Examination Result” available on the homepage.
- A new window will open on the screen.
