NIOS Declares Results for Secondary and Senior Secondary On-Demand Examinations

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has officially released the outcomes for the Secondary and Senior Secondary On-Demand Examinations (ODE) that were conducted between January 16 and January 31. Candidates who appeared for these tests can now access their scorecards through the institute’s official results portal.

Pass Percentages and Performance Overview

According to the data released alongside the results, the overall pass rate for the Secondary level stood at 55.26 percent, while the Senior Secondary level recorded a slightly higher pass percentage of 60.43 percent. A closer look at the numbers reveals that a total of 2,373 students had registered for the Secondary examination, of which 1,777 actually appeared for the tests. Among these, 982 candidates successfully cleared the exams.

For the Senior Secondary tier, registrations were notably higher at 6,338 students. From this group, 3,927 candidates sat for the examination, and 2,373 emerged successful. The institute has made the complete statistical breakdown available for those interested in reviewing the detailed figures.

Gender-Wise Performance Breakdown

Interestingly, the performance gap between male and female candidates remained minimal across both examination levels. In the Secondary examinations, female students achieved a pass rate of 54.29 percent, while their male counterparts posted a marginally better 55.77 percent. The Senior Secondary results showed an almost identical performance pattern, with girls recording a 60.43 percent pass rate and boys following closely at 60.44 percent.

Accessing Your Results

Students can retrieve their individual results by visiting the official NIOS results website. The process is straightforward and requires only basic details. Candidates should navigate to the designated results section, select the appropriate examination link for Secondary or Senior Secondary ODE results, and then enter their enrollment number along with the captcha code displayed on screen. Once submitted, the result will appear on the display, which can be downloaded and saved for future reference.

It is advisable for students to keep a printed or digital copy of their result for documentation purposes and any subsequent administrative procedures.

Addressing Discrepancies and Grievances

In the event that a candidate notices any error or inconsistency in their published result, the institute has established a clear grievance redressal mechanism. Students are permitted to file a formal complaint at their respective regional centers within a 30-day window from the date of result declaration. This provision ensures that any genuine issues can be reviewed and corrected in a timely manner.

Distribution of Certificates and Documents

For those who have successfully cleared their examinations, the institute has initiated the process of dispatching official documents. Statement of marks, certificates, and migration-cum-transfer certificates are currently being forwarded to the relevant regional centers. Once received, these centers will handle the distribution to the respective candidates. Students are encouraged to stay in contact with their regional offices regarding the availability of these important documents.

Rechecking and Revaluation Applications Open March 27

Candidates who are not satisfied with their obtained scores have the option to apply for rechecking or revaluation of their answer scripts. The application window for this process commences on March 27 and will remain open for a period of 15 days. This provides ample opportunity for interested students to submit their requests within the stipulated timeframe.

Fee Structure for Rechecking and Revaluation

The fee structure has been clearly outlined by the institute. For rechecking, candidates are required to pay 400 rupees per subject. The revaluation facility, which is exclusively available to Class 12 students, carries a fee of 1,200 rupees per subject. Additionally, a nominal online processing fee of 50 rupees applies to all applications submitted through the digital platform.

Step-by-Step Guide for Rechecking and Revaluation Applications

Students wishing to apply for rechecking or revaluation can follow a simple online procedure. Begin by visiting the official results website and locating the rechecking or revaluation option on the homepage. After selecting the appropriate link, enter your enrollment number and the captcha code as prompted. The system will then display your application details for verification. Review the information carefully, make any necessary updates, and submit the form. It is recommended to save a copy of the submitted application for your records.

Candidates are reminded to regularly monitor the official website for any new announcements or updates regarding results, certificate distribution, or related processes.
