Punjab Board Declares Class 8 Results for 2026
The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) officially released the Class 8 examination results on April 10, 2026. A total of 2,62,966 students from 10,422 schools across the state appeared for the exams this year. Of these, 2,53,789 students successfully cleared the examinations, bringing the overall pass percentage to an impressive 96.51%.
Faridkot Student Secures Top Position with Perfect Score
Tamanna, a student from Saraswati Senior Secondary School in Jaitu, Faridkot, has emerged as the state topper. She achieved a flawless score of 600 out of 600 marks, securing a perfect 100% and claiming the first position statewide. Her outstanding performance has set a remarkable benchmark for academic excellence in the region.
Dr. Amarpal Singh, Chairman of the Punjab School Education Board, noted that this year’s examinations were conducted with greater rigor and transparency than in previous years. He also mentioned that efforts are underway to enhance the quality of question papers and introduce necessary curriculum improvements in the coming academic sessions.

- First Rank: Tamanna – Saraswati Senior Secondary School, Jaitu (Faridkot) – 600/600 marks (100%)
- Second Rank: Japneet Kaur – Government Middle School, Arkwas (Sangrur) – 598/600 marks (99.67%)
- Third Rank: Jasandeep Kaur – Sant Mohan Das Memorial Senior Secondary School, Kot Sukhia (Faridkot) – 598/600 marks (99.67%)

Compartment Examination Details
Students who could not clear one or two subjects in the main examination will have an opportunity to appear for the compartment exams scheduled for June 2026. Interested candidates will need to submit a separate application, and the detailed examination schedule will be announced shortly by the board.
