Rajasthan Board Announces Class 5 and 8 Results for 2026

The wait is finally over for lakhs of students across Rajasthan. On March 24, 2026, the state’s education department officially released the examination outcomes for both Class 5 and Class 8. Education Minister Madan Dilawar made the announcement during a press conference held at the board office in Ajmer, where he activated the result links in the presence of senior departmental officials. Students and parents can now access their scores through the official Shala Darpan portal.

Impressive Pass Percentages Recorded This Year

This year’s results reflect a strong performance from young learners across the state. The overall pass percentage for Class 5 stands at an impressive 97.75 percent, while Class 8 has recorded a commendable 97.01 percent success rate. Combined, more than 25.79 lakh students have successfully cleared their respective examinations.

Class 5 Performance Breakdown

A total of 13,68,947 candidates appeared for the Class 5 examinations in 2026. From this group, 13,64,570 students were declared successful, contributing to the outstanding 97.75 percent pass rate. This marks a significant achievement for the primary education sector in the state.

Class 8 Performance Breakdown

For Class 8, the examination saw participation from a substantial number of students, with 12,45,735 candidates successfully clearing the tests. The pass percentage of 97.01 percent demonstrates consistent academic progress among middle school students throughout Rajasthan.

Examination Schedule and Format

The Class 5 examinations were conducted from February 20 to March 5, 2026, while Class 8 tests took place between February 19 and March 4, 2026. All examinations were held in a single shift, running from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, ensuring a uniform testing experience for all students across the state.

Understanding the Grading System

The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education has implemented a comprehensive grading system for Class 8 students, offering a broader framework for academic evaluation. To pass, students must secure a minimum of 33 percent marks in each individual subject as well as an aggregate score of at least 33 percent across all subjects. A grade of ‘D’ or above is considered a passing mark. Students who fail to meet these criteria will be placed on the supplementary list, giving them an opportunity to improve their performance in subsequent attempts.

How to Access Your Results

Students can check and download their results by following a few simple steps on the official website. The process has been designed to be straightforward and user-friendly:

  • Visit the official Shala Darpan result portal
  • Locate and click on the Class 5 or Class 8 result link on the homepage
  • Enter your roll number in the designated field
  • Click the submit button to view your results
  • Your scorecard will display marks, percentage, and pass/fail status
  • Download the marksheet and take a printout for future reference

Website Performance and Technical Support

Shortly after the results were published, many students experienced difficulty accessing the website due to heavy traffic. The board has acknowledged these technical issues and assured students that the site will be fully functional shortly. Officials recommend that students remain patient and try again after some time if they encounter any loading problems. The department is working diligently to ensure smooth access for all users.

Official Congratulations from Education Department

The education department has extended warm congratulations to all successful students through its official social media channels. The message conveyed heartfelt appreciation for the students’ hard work and wished them a bright and prosperous future ahead. This gesture underscores the department’s commitment to encouraging academic excellence among young learners in the state.

Simultaneous Release of Multiple Results

In a notable development this year, the Rajasthan Board released the Class 10 results alongside the Class 5 and Class 8 outcomes on the same day. This coordinated announcement was made through a press conference, allowing students from different grade levels to access their results simultaneously. The decision to release multiple results together reflects the board’s efforts to streamline the result declaration process and reduce anxiety among students awaiting their outcomes.

The announcement of these results marks an important milestone for thousands of young students in Rajasthan who have successfully completed another academic year. With such high pass percentages, the state continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing quality primary and middle school education to its youth.
