Telangana Board Declares Intermediate Results for 2026

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has officially released the results for both first and second-year intermediate examinations. Students who appeared for these exams can now access their scores online through the board’s designated result portals. The announcement was made this morning, marking the culmination of months of anticipation for nearly a million students across the state.

Exam Overview and Timeline

The intermediate examinations for the academic session were conducted in two phases. First-year examinations were held from February 25 to March 17, 2026, while second-year exams took place from February 26 to March 18, 2026. A total of approximately 9.97 lakh candidates registered for and appeared in these examinations. For context, the previous year’s results were announced on April 22, making this year’s release slightly earlier than expected.

Passing Criteria and Requirements

To successfully clear the intermediate examinations, students must secure a minimum of 35 percent marks in each subject, combining both theory and practical components. Additionally, candidates need to achieve an overall aggregate of at least 35 percent across all subjects. While the online results provide immediate access to scores, students are required to collect their official mark sheets from their respective educational institutions.

Previous Year’s Performance Overview

In the 2025 examinations, a total of 3,22,191 students successfully passed the first-year intermediate exams. This included 2,93,852 students from the general stream and 28,339 from the vocational stream. The detailed pass percentage and comprehensive information about this year’s top performers are expected to be shared through an official press conference by the board authorities.

Information Included in the Mark Sheet

The intermediate mark sheet contains comprehensive details about each student’s performance. Here is what candidates can expect to find on their official documents:

  • Full name of the student
  • Hall ticket or roll number
  • Type of examination undertaken
  • Name of the examining board
  • Academic stream pursued
  • Class or year of examination
  • Subject-wise breakdown of performance
  • Marks obtained in each individual subject
  • Total marks secured
  • Grade awarded
  • Final result status (pass or fail)

Step-by-Step Guide to Check Results

Students can follow these simple steps to view and download their results from the official websites:

Begin by visiting the designated result portals for the Telangana board. Once on the homepage, locate and click on the appropriate link for either the first-year or second-year intermediate results, depending on which examination you appeared for. You will then need to enter your hall ticket number along with other required details in the provided fields. After submitting the information, your result will appear on the screen. It is advisable to download the result and take a printout for future reference and documentation purposes.

The board has ensured that the online result checking process is straightforward and accessible, allowing students to quickly ascertain their performance without unnecessary delays. Candidates are encouraged to verify all details on their mark sheets carefully once they receive the official documents from their schools.
