UGC NET December 2025 Admit Card Released for December 31 Exam
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the admit cards for the UGC NET December 2025 session. Candidates scheduled to appear for the examination on December 31 can now download their hall tickets from the official portal, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
How to Download the Admit Card
To access the admit card, candidates must enter their application number along with their password or date of birth on the official website. It is advisable to download and print multiple copies of the hall ticket and keep them safely until the examination process is complete.
Exam Schedule and Format
The UGC NET December 2025 examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across 85 subjects. The test is scheduled to take place on multiple dates, including December 31, 2025, and January 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7, 2026, at various examination centres throughout the country.
The examination will be held in two shifts. The first shift will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the second shift will take place from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Paper 1 will consist of 50 questions covering teaching and research aptitude, whereas Paper 2 will include 100 questions based on the subject chosen by the candidate. The total duration of the examination is three hours.
Essential Documents to Carry
Candidates must carry the following items to the examination centre without fail:
- A printed copy of the admit card
- A valid original photo identification proof, such as an Aadhaar card or voter ID
It is mandatory to present both documents at the entry point for verification. Candidates who fail to produce valid identification will not be permitted to appear for the examination.
Important Guidelines for Exam Day
Strict restrictions have been imposed on the items allowed inside the examination hall. Mobile phones, calculators, electronic gadgets, smartwatches, and any other digital devices are strictly prohibited. Candidates found carrying such items will be subject to disciplinary action as per the examination rules.
All candidates are advised to arrive at the examination centre well before the reporting time mentioned on their admit card. Latecomers may not be granted entry. It is also essential to carefully read and follow all instructions printed on the admit card to avoid any inconvenience on the day of the examination.
