UP Board Class 10 Results 2026: Girls Dominate Merit List

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has officially released the Class 10 (High School) examination results for the 2026 academic session. This year, two students have jointly secured the top position with an impressive score of 97.83 percent, demonstrating exceptional academic dedication and hard work.

Joint Toppers Lead the Way

Kashish Verma from Sitapur and Anshika Verma from Barabanki have both achieved the first rank in the state with identical scores of 97.83 percent. Their remarkable accomplishment is particularly noteworthy given the challenging circumstances Kashish faced, including financial constraints within her family and her mother’s ongoing health issues. Despite these obstacles, she managed to excel academically and secure the coveted top position.

Girls Outperform in Top Rankings

The merit list this year showcases an outstanding performance by female students, with five out of the six top positions being secured by girls. This continues a positive trend of female students outperforming their male counterparts in the state board examinations.

Aditi from The Modern Academy, Jaidpur, Barabanki, has claimed the second position with an impressive 97.50 percent score. The third position is shared by three students—Arpita, Pari Verma, and Rishabh Sahu—who each secured 97.33 percent, demonstrating the highly competitive nature of this year’s examinations.

Geographical Distribution of Top Performers

Among the top-ranking students, Barabanki district has produced the highest number of achievers with three students making it to the top six. Sitapur follows closely with two students, while Jhansi has contributed one student to the prestigious list.

Continuing Trend of Female Excellence

The 2026 results continue to reflect a consistent pattern observed in recent years, where female students have demonstrated superior performance compared to their male counterparts. The pass percentage among girls stands notably higher, reinforcing the positive educational outcomes achieved by female students across the state.

This year’s results highlight not only academic excellence but also remarkable resilience and determination among students who overcame various personal and economic challenges to achieve outstanding success. The board’s transparent evaluation process and timely result declaration have been appreciated by students and parents alike.
