UP Board Opens Two-Day Window for Pending Class 12 Practical Marks

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced a special two-day window on April 6 and 7, 2026, for schools to upload pending practical exam marks for Class 12 (Intermediate) students. This decision comes after thousands of student results were impacted due to incomplete internal mark submissions.

Over 34,000 Students Affected by Incomplete Uploads

According to board secretary Bhagwati Singh, incomplete mark uploads across 652 practical examination centers in the state have affected the results of approximately 34,637 students. The board’s review revealed a significant gap between external and internal examiner submissions.

Exams Conducted, Marks Not Uploaded

The Intermediate practical examinations were conducted in two phases between January 24 and February 9, 2026, with an extension for some schools until February 13. However, while external examiners successfully uploaded their assessments, many internal examiners failed to submit marks through their school login credentials, leaving the result processing incomplete.

Final Opportunity for Schools and Examiners

To address this administrative lapse, the board has decided to reactivate the official website for two days. Internal examiners have been instructed to upload all pending marks through the designated link available on the homepage within the specified deadline. This serves as a final opportunity to rectify the situation before results are finalized.

Strict Consequences for Non-Compliance

The board has issued a stern warning that students whose marks are not uploaded within this extended period will be declared failed in the practical component. This measure underscores the seriousness of the situation and the board’s commitment to maintaining academic accountability.

Accountability Fixed on Officials

In a clear directive, the board has stated that if instructions are not followed, the complete responsibility will rest with the concerned internal examiner, school principal, and District Inspector of Schools (DIOS). This accountability framework aims to prevent future negligence in the examination process.

The board’s proactive step reflects its commitment to protecting student interests and ensuring that administrative oversights do not unfairly disadvantage any candidate. Schools and examiners are urged to treat this as a final opportunity to complete their pending responsibilities and ensure that all eligible students receive their deserved results.
