UP Board Class 10 and 12 Results 2026: A Detailed Year-on-Year Comparison

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has officially released the results for both high school and intermediate examinations. This year, students appearing for Class 10 achieved a pass percentage of 90.40%, while those in Class 12 recorded a pass rate of 80.38%. These figures present a mixed picture when compared to last year’s performance, with a slight improvement in high school results but a noticeable dip in intermediate outcomes.

Class 10 Performance: A Marginal Upswing

For the high school examinations, the overall pass percentage has seen a modest increase of 0.29% compared to the previous year. In 2025, the pass rate stood at 90.11%, which has now climbed to 90.40%. This upward trend is largely driven by the performance of male students, who showed a significant improvement of 0.64% over last year. However, female students experienced a slight decline of 0.11% in their pass percentage, which slightly offset the overall gains.

Class 12 Performance: A Notable Decline

The intermediate results, on the other hand, paint a different picture. The overall pass percentage has dropped by 0.77% compared to the previous year. In 2025, 81.15% of students successfully cleared the Class 12 exams, but this year the figure has fallen to 80.38%. The decline is more pronounced among boys, who saw their pass rate decrease by 1.56%. Girls also experienced a minor setback, with their pass percentage dipping by 0.05%.

Top Achievers of the Year

Among the standout performers this year, Kashish Verma from Sitapur has secured the top position in the high school examinations with an impressive 97.83% marks. In the intermediate exams, Shikha Verma has emerged as the topper. The examinations were conducted from February 18 to March 12, 2026, across various examination centers in the state.

Step-by-Step Guide to Access Your Results

Students and parents can easily check their results through the official website. The process is straightforward and user-friendly. Here are the steps to follow:

  • Visit the official examination board website using your preferred web browser.
  • Navigate to the results section and select the “UP Board” option from the list of available boards.
  • Choose the appropriate link based on your examination – Class 10 students should click on the high school result link, while Class 12 students should select the intermediate result link.
  • Enter your roll number carefully in the designated field.
  • Click on the submit button to generate your result.
  • Your mark sheet will be displayed on the screen.
  • You can save a digital copy of your results by using the download option for future reference.

The release of these results marks an important milestone for thousands of students across the state. While the slight improvement in Class 10 performance is encouraging, the decline in Class 12 results calls for attention. Educational authorities and schools may need to analyze the factors contributing to this trend and implement strategies to enhance student performance in the coming years. Regardless of the outcomes, students are encouraged to focus on their future academic and career goals, using these results as a stepping stone for further growth and development.
