UP Board Results 2026 Declared: Girls Dominate Merit Lists in Class 10 and 12

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has officially released the much-awaited results for both the High School (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) examinations. This announcement brings an end to the anxious waiting period for millions of students across the state. Candidates can now access their scorecards and evaluate their performance in terms of marks obtained, overall percentage, and pass/fail status.

Overall Pass Percentage and Performance Highlights

This year, the board has recorded a pass percentage of 90.42% for the Class 10 examinations. In comparison, the Intermediate examinations saw a success rate of 80.38%. Once again, female students have outperformed their male counterparts in both classes, continuing a trend of academic excellence among girls in the state.

Class 10 Results: A Detailed Statistical Overview

The High School examination witnessed the participation of over 26 lakh students. The detailed breakdown of the results is as follows:

  • Total Candidates Appeared: 26,01,381
  • Total Candidates Passed: 23,52,181
  • Male Candidates Appeared: 13,43,524
  • Female Candidates Appeared: 12,57,857
  • Male Pass Percentage: 87.30%
  • Female Pass Percentage: 93.76%
  • Institutional Candidates Passed: 23,45,814
  • Private Candidates Passed: 6,367
  • Institutional Pass Percentage: 90.51%
  • Private Pass Percentage: 66.67%

The performance gap between genders stands at a significant 6.46%, with girls leading the charts. Furthermore, students from institutional backgrounds have fared considerably better than those appearing as private candidates, with a difference of 23.84% in success rates. A total of 96,803 examiners were involved in evaluating the answer sheets, and 3,286 candidates appeared for exams in partial subjects.

Class 12 Results: Girls Continue Their Winning Streak

In the Intermediate examinations, a total of 9,82,610 boys and 10,15,707 girls successfully cleared the exams. The pass percentage for boys stands at 75.04%, while girls have achieved an impressive 86.32%. This marks a substantial 11.28% difference in favor of female students. Similar to the Class 10 results, candidates from recognized institutions have outperformed private candidates by 2.93%.

District-Wise Performance Analysis

Top Performing Districts in High School

Several districts have showcased exceptional academic achievements this year. Bhadohi has secured the top position with an outstanding pass percentage of 95.78%. Following closely are Agra with 95.40% and Prayagraj with 95.36%, demonstrating commendable performance at the district level.

Leading Districts in Intermediate Examinations

For the Class 12 examinations, Lucknow has taken the lead with a pass percentage of 89.17%. Amethi follows with 88.96%, and Amroha rounds out the top three with 88.87%, reflecting a strong showing from these regions.

Category-Wise Results for Intermediate Schools

The board has also released results categorized by school type, providing a comprehensive view of institutional performance:

  • Government Schools: 995 schools, 83.17% pass rate
  • Aided Schools: 4,082 schools, 78.98% pass rate
  • Self-Financed Schools: 13,583 schools, 81.00% pass rate
  • Study Centers: 936 centers, 77.54% pass rate

In total, 19,596 institutions participated in the examination process, with a combined pass percentage of 80.38%.

Merit List: Class 10 Toppers

The merit list for the High School examinations features several students who have achieved near-perfect scores. Kashish Verma from Sitapur and Anshika Verma from Barabanki have jointly secured the top rank with an impressive 587 marks out of 600, translating to 97.83%. Aditi from Barabanki follows with 585 marks (97.50%).

The third position is shared by three students, each scoring 584 marks (97.33%): Arpita from Sitapur, Rishabh Sahu from Jhansi, and Pari Verma from Barabanki. The fourth rank is shared by six students who scored 583 marks (97.17%), including Adil Khan from Sitapur, Anshika Yadav from Farrukhabad, Satyam Yadav from Pratapgarh, Avika Sharma from Prayagraj, Shriya from Ambedkar Nagar, and Pratiksha Pandey from Mau.

The fifth position is occupied by six students with 582 marks (97.00%): Aayushi from Saharanpur, Divya Verma from Sitapur, Prakhya Bhadouria from Etawah, Abhishek Tiwari from Fatehpur, Prem Prajapati from Ambedkar Nagar, and Ruchi Dubey from Gonda.
