UP Board Results 2026: Sitapur Continues Its Winning Streak While Barabanki Emerges as a Strong Contender

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) officially released the Class 10 and Class 12 board examination results on the afternoon of April 23rd. With nearly 52 lakh students having appeared for the annual exams, this year’s outcome has brought both familiar success stories and exciting new developments. The results were announced during a press conference held in online mode, with UPMSP Secretary Bhagwati Singh present at the event.

This year, the overall pass percentage for Class 12 stood at an impressive 80.38 percent, while Class 10 recorded a significantly higher pass rate of 90.40 percent. While these numbers reflect the collective performance of students across the state, the spotlight has once again fallen on Sitapur district, which has consistently produced top-ranking students over the past several years.

Sitapur’s Dominance Continues in 2026

Sitapur has built a reputation for academic excellence in the UP Board examinations, and this year proved to be no exception. Students from the district once again secured the top positions in both Class 10 and Class 12. However, what makes this year’s results particularly noteworthy is the remarkable challenge posed by Barabanki, which has emerged as a formidable competitor in the merit list.

In the Class 10 examinations, Kashish Verma from Sitapur and Anshika Verma from Barabanki both achieved the highest score of 587 marks, sharing the coveted first rank. Meanwhile, in Class 12, Shikha Verma from Sitapur topped the state with 488 marks. When examining the combined top three positions across both classes, Barabanki students have secured a substantial presence, demonstrating the district’s growing academic strength.

These results clearly indicate that while Sitapur maintains its stronghold on the top positions, Barabanki is rapidly closing the gap and establishing itself as a serious contender in the state’s academic landscape.

A Look Back at Sitapur’s Consistent Excellence

The district’s impressive performance in 2026 is not an isolated achievement but rather a continuation of a remarkable trend that has spanned several years. Sitapur’s students have consistently featured prominently in the UP Board merit lists, bringing pride to their families, schools, and the entire district.

In 2025, the Class 10 top ten list included seven exceptional students from Sitapur. Among them were Arpit Verma (97.50%), Anchal Verma (97.33%), Aayushi Yadav (97%), Gunjan Singh (96.83%), Shruti Mishra (96.83%), Siddhi Singh (96.83%), and Shivam Yadav (96.83%). These students demonstrated remarkable dedication and hard work throughout their academic journey.

The Class 12 results from 2025 also reflected Sitapur’s academic prowess, with two students from the district securing positions in the state’s top ten. Mridul and Yugratna Verma from Sita Bal Vidya Mandir Inter College in Mahmudabad achieved 95 percent marks and were placed at the tenth rank. Their accomplishments served as yet another testament to the district’s commitment to educational excellence.

Earlier Years Reinforce the Pattern

Looking further back, the district’s track record remains equally impressive. In 2024, six students from Sitapur featured in the top five list for the high school examinations. Prachi Nigam achieved the first position in the state with an outstanding 98.50 percent score, while Shubham Verma from the same college topped the intermediate examinations with 97.80 percent marks.

The year 2023 also brought glory to the district when Priyanshi Soni, a student of Sita Bal Vidya Mandir Inter College in Mahmudabad, topped the high school examinations with an exceptional 98.33 percent score. These consistent achievements across multiple years underscore the strong educational foundation and academic culture that has been cultivated in Sitapur.

How Students Can Access Their Results

Students who appeared for the UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 examinations can easily check their results online through the official results portal. The process is straightforward and requires only basic information. To access the results, students need to follow a simple procedure that involves selecting their board, choosing their class, and entering their roll number along with other required credentials.

The step-by-step process begins with navigating to the results section of the designated website. From the list of boards, students should select the UP Board option. Depending on their class, they can then click on either the Class 10 or Class 12 result link. After entering their roll number, registration number, or roll code, they can submit the information to view their mark sheet on the screen. For future reference, students also have the option to download and save a digital copy of their results.

Students are encouraged to register on the results portal in advance to receive timely updates and access their scores as soon as they are published. This proactive approach ensures that they can view their performance without any delay or inconvenience.

The 2026 UP Board results have once again highlighted the academic excellence that continues to flourish in Sitapur. At the same time, the strong showing from Barabanki signals a healthy competitive spirit among districts, which ultimately benefits the entire educational ecosystem of Uttar Pradesh. As students celebrate their achievements and prepare for the next phase of their academic journey, these results serve as a reminder that dedication, perseverance, and hard work remain the keys to success.
