UP Board Issues Cyber Fraud Warning for Class 10 and 12 Scrutiny Applicants

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has issued a formal advisory cautioning students and parents against potential cyber fraud related to the answer sheet scrutiny process for high school and intermediate examinations. The board has received reports that fraudulent individuals may pose as official representatives and promise score improvements in exchange for money.

How Fraudsters Operate

According to the board’s official notice, cybercriminals may reach out to students and their families through phone calls, text messages, or emails. These scammers typically claim that they can increase a student’s marks in exchange for a payment. The board has emphasized that such offers are completely虚假 and designed solely to exploit unsuspecting individuals.

Officials have clarified that the UPMSP never contacts students directly on a personal basis. Any communication claiming to be from board officials offering grade changes should be treated as suspicious and immediately reported.

Official Advisory for Students and Parents

In its public warning, the board has strongly advised students and parents against sharing personal information, including roll numbers, bank details, or any other sensitive data with unknown individuals. The advisory stresses that legitimate board processes never require such disclosures through informal channels.

The notice further states that the board is working in coordination with the Uttar Pradesh Police to identify those responsible for such fraudulent activities. Legal action will be initiated against offenders under the Information Technology Act and relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Reporting Suspicious Activity

Students and parents who receive any suspicious communication regarding scrutiny results or mark sheet changes are urged to preserve all evidence, including call recordings, messages, or emails. This documentation should be submitted when filing a formal complaint.

Complaints can be lodged with the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) of the respective district. Additionally, individuals can report such incidents through the national cyber helpline by dialing 1930.

Scrutiny Application Timeline and Fees

According to the official notification released by the board, the deadline for submitting scrutiny applications for both high school and intermediate answer sheets was May 17, 2026. Students were required to pay a fee of ₹500 per subject for the scrutiny process. Separate fee structures were established for written examinations and practical assessments.

Recent Examination Results

The UPMSP announced the results for Class 10 and Class 12 examinations on April 23, 2026. This year, the overall pass percentage for high school stood at 90.42 percent, while the intermediate examinations recorded a pass rate of 80.38 percent.

The board has appealed to all students to remain vigilant and avoid falling prey to fraudulent promises or tempting offers. Officials reiterate that all authentic information regarding examinations, results, and related procedures is communicated exclusively through official channels. Students are encouraged to rely solely on verified sources and disregard any unofficial claims regarding mark revisions or special considerations.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and have assured the public that strict measures are being implemented to safeguard students from such malicious activities. Parents are also requested to educate their children about the risks of sharing personal information online and to report any suspicious encounters immediately.
