UPTET 2026 Admit Cards Released: Download Steps and Exam Schedule
The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board has officially released the admit cards for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026. Candidates who have registered for the examination can now visit the official website and download their hall tickets by entering their application number, mobile number, name, father’s name, and date of birth.
The examination is scheduled to be conducted across the state from July 2 to July 4, 2026. In a prior notification issued on June 22, the board had already shared the exam city details with the candidates.

The teacher eligibility test will be held in multiple shifts over three days. Here is the detailed schedule:
- July 2, 2026 (Shift 1): 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM — Upper Primary Level (Classes 6 to 8)
- July 2, 2026 (Shift 2): 02:30 PM to 05:00 PM — Upper Primary Level (Classes 6 to 8)
- July 3, 2026 (Shift 1): 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM — Upper Primary Level (Classes 6 to 8)
- July 3, 2026 (Shift 2): 02:30 PM to 05:00 PM — Primary Level (Classes 1 to 5)
- July 4, 2026 (Shift 1): 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM — Primary Level (Classes 1 to 5)
The examination will be conducted at a total of 955 centres spread across 60 districts of the state.
UPTET 2026 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme
The UPTET 2026 examination will be conducted in offline mode using OMR sheets. Candidates will face a total of 150 multiple-choice questions covering subjects such as child development and pedagogy, language 1, language 2, mathematics, and environmental studies.
Each question carries one mark, and the total duration of the examination is 150 minutes (two and a half hours). There is no negative marking for incorrect answers, which provides some relief to candidates attempting the test.
Passing Marks and Certificate Validity
To qualify for the examination, candidates from the general category must secure a minimum of 60 percent, which translates to 90 marks out of 150. For candidates belonging to reserved categories, the minimum qualifying score is set at 55 percent, equivalent to 82 marks.
Once a candidate successfully clears the UPTET examination, the certificate awarded will remain valid for a lifetime. This means qualified candidates can use the certificate for future teacher recruitment examinations without needing to reappear for the eligibility test.
Important Points to Remember
Candidates appearing for the exam are advised to carry a printed copy of their admit card along with a valid photo identification document to the examination centre. It is also recommended to reach the centre well before the reporting time mentioned on the hall ticket. Any candidate arriving late may not be permitted to enter the examination hall.
