Strict Measures Announced for Late Arrivals at BSEB Intermediate Exam Centres

The Bihar School Examination Board has issued firm directives to all districts ahead of the Intermediate Annual Examination 2026, with a clear focus on conducting the exams in a fair, disciplined, and peaceful manner. Authorities have made it unequivocally clear that punctuality will be non-negotiable for every candidate appearing in the upcoming tests.

Students who arrive at their designated examination centres after the scheduled time will be denied entry under all circumstances. The board has emphasized that no exceptions will be made, regardless of the reason for the delay. This move is part of a broader effort to tighten the examination process and eliminate any scope for irregularities.

Mandatory Reporting Time for Candidates

All examinees are required to reach their examination centres at least one hour before the commencement of the exam. The main gate of every centre will be securely closed 30 minutes prior to the start of the test. Once the gates are shut, no candidate will be permitted inside, irrespective of how close they are to the venue or what circumstances led to their late arrival.

This strict timeline has been introduced to ensure smooth entry procedures, proper verification of admit cards, and to prevent any last-minute chaos that could disrupt the examination environment.

Forced Entry Treated as a Serious Offence

The board has issued a stern warning regarding any attempts to enter examination premises through unauthorized means. If a student tries to climb over walls, push past security personnel, or use any other forceful or deceptive method to gain entry after the gate has been closed, it will be classified as a violation of examination rules and a punishable offence.

Officials have stated that such actions compromise the integrity of the examination system and will be dealt with severely. The directive makes it clear that the examination process must remain transparent and fair for all candidates.

Consequences for Students and Centre Officials

Any student found attempting forced entry will face a two-year ban from all examinations conducted by the board. Additionally, a formal police complaint, or FIR, will be registered against the offending candidate. This legal action underscores the seriousness with which the board views any disruption to the examination schedule.

Accountability extends beyond the students as well. If any examination centre is found to have allowed a late-arriving student to sit for the exam, the centre superintendent and other responsible staff members will face disciplinary proceedings. This could include suspension from duty and potential legal consequences for failing to enforce the board’s regulations.

The board’s latest guidelines serve as a clear warning to all stakeholders involved in the examination process. Students are strongly advised to plan their travel well in advance, account for potential traffic delays, and arrive at their centres with sufficient time to spare. Centre authorities, on their part, have been instructed to implement these rules without any leniency or deviation.

These measures reflect the board’s commitment to maintaining the credibility of the Intermediate examinations and ensuring that all candidates are evaluated under identical, strictly controlled conditions. With these protocols in place, the board aims to conduct the 2026 examinations smoothly, with full compliance from both students and examination staff.
